CyNam board members were privileged to be invited to the GCHQ-Wayra Cyber Accelerator event in Cheltenham on the evening of 9 November. The Cyber Accelerator is part of the £1.9bn National Cyber Security Strategy announced by the Chancellor and the event offered an opportunity to welcome them to Cheltenham.
The nine emerging companies are leaders in their sector and were keen to introduce themselves to the emerging cyber eco system in the area and the unique opportunities Cheltenham offers cutting-edge tech start-ups.
The event was attended by the mayor of Cheltenham, council leaders, members of academia from Gloucester University, government representatives from DCMS, Alex Chalk, MP for Cheltenham and local investors and businessmen.
